Areas of Practice
Criminal Law: I have served as defense counsel on a wide spectrum of cases including traffic and driving under the influence (DUI) offenses, drug offenses (possession, distribution, trafficking), property crimes,(theft and burglary), to crimes against persons (Assaults, Rape, Murder & Capital Murder cases). I have extensive experience in the courtroom, and in front of juries.
Family/Domestic Law: Legal matters in this area can be hard on everyone. I routinely handle divorce and custody cases. This area also includes visitation and child support issues. I have had many hours of experience in these areas as well.
Personal Injury: These cases include matters such as auto accidents, slip and fall, wrongful death cases, medical malpractice. I have worked diligenty to secure successful and lucrative settlements for my personal injury clients.
Appellate Advocacy: I routinely handle cases on appeal from all levels; from Municipal/District Courts to Circuit Courts, and District and Circuit Court appeals to the Alabama Courts of Criminal and Civil Appeals and the Supreme Court of Alabama.
Wills and Estates: Everyone needs a plan in place to make sure their wishes are carried out, and their family taken care of properly and legally after their passing. A portion of my practice is devoted to drafting effective wills, trusts, power of attorney, and living wills to make sure your affairs are in order.
